Pickleball Enthusiast Completes Quest to Play on Every Court in The Villages

Deane Chickering, a resident of the Village of Bonnybrook, achieved a remarkable milestone in The Villages by playing on every pickleball court across the community, marking the completion of a personal endeavor that began in 2013.

Chickering, a dedicated pickleball player at the age of 90, celebrated his achievement by participating in matches at the new pickleball courts at Saluki Recreation.

During his journey, Chickering has graced a total of 296 pickleball courts with his passion and dedication for the sport, showcasing his unwavering commitment to the game he loves.

Since his mission initiation, Chickering has remained one of The Villages’ most faithful pickleball enthusiasts, showcasing a remarkable dedication to the sport over his 21-year tenure, inspiring many players along the way.

To Chickering, this endeavor was a personal challenge inspired by observing others completing similar quests, such as swimming at every pool and playing golf at every course within The Villages.
