Post Malone‘s highly anticipated performance at the Festival d'été de Québec (FEQ) in Quebec City on Friday evening led to the closure of the festival site, as a massive crowd gathered on the Plaines d’Abraham.

By 8:30 pm, festival organizers had already advised attendees to head towards the Cap-Blanc entrance to facilitate their access. However, shortly after, another message was posted announcing the shutdown of the site.

For the comfort and safety of festival-goers already on the site, the two entrances to the Plaines d’Abraham are now closed, read the statement.

A dense crowd had formed in front of the Croix du sacrifice entrance for Post Malone’s only stop in Canada, with thousands also lining up at the Cap-Blanc entrance for a chance to catch the 29-year-old artist’s performance.

Until then, the Plaines d’Abraham had not yet been closed, despite the large crowds gathering for performances by 50 Cent and The Offspring.
