Rachel Zegler 2025 Oscars Red Carpet Gown

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Rachel Zegler made a stunning appearance at the 2025 Oscars, showcasing a pearlescent Dior gown that resonated with her role as Snow White. The event celebrated the best in film while highlighting Zegler’s remarkable journey in preparing for her iconic character.

In a recent cover story, Zegler shared her experiences filming a pivotal scene in the upcoming Snow White adaptation, which involved significant physical challenges. ‘For Snow White, there’s a famous scene where she falls into a lake, through a trapdoor-type thing in a forest. And we did it, and I got scuba diving training so that I could spend a long time underwater,’ she said.

Zegler recounted the rigorous training involved, stating, ‘I had this guy named Pete, who is ex-Navy, attached to me at all times, tethered to me. I spent…I want to say a total of 48 hours training. And then shot for two whole days. It was seven hours underwater.’

Despite the demanding nature of the shoot, she noted how the preparation made her more confident. ‘I’m in the dress and tied to a bed so that they could film it. I had a nose clip on because you can’t really tilt your head back. They ended up not using that take. But now it doesn’t scare me anymore, the underwater stuff,’ she explained.

The 2025 Oscars served as more than just an award ceremony for Zegler; it was an opportunity to reflect on the dedication required for her role, showcasing her commitment to the craft of acting.

Fans and industry insiders eagerly await the release of Snow White, where Zegler’s transformative performance is expected to captivate audiences. Her recent remarks provide insight into the physical and mental preparation involved in portraying a character so iconic in cinematic history.
