Rams’ Puka Nacua Cleared to Return to Practice After Knee Injury
Puka Nacua, the standout wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, has been cleared to return to practice after a significant knee injury. Nacua, who had a remarkable rookie season in 2023 with 105 receptions, 1,486 receiving yards, and six touchdowns, has been sidelined since Week 1 of the 2024 season due to a knee injury.
The injury, which was initially a ruptured bursa sac in his right knee during training camp, was compounded by a PCL sprain suffered in Week 1. This combination of injuries forced Nacua to miss the first six games of the season. However, the Rams have now opened a 21-day practice window for him, indicating that he could make his return to the field within this timeframe.
The Rams’ offense has struggled in Nacua’s absence, along with that of another key player, Cooper Kupp, who has been out since Week 2 with an ankle injury. Despite some positive performances from other players like Kyren Williams, the team’s record stands at 2-4. The potential return of both Nacua and Kupp, who also participated fully in practice recently, could significantly boost the team’s performance.
It is worth noting that there are rumors about the Rams considering trading Cooper Kupp ahead of the November 5 deadline. If this were to happen, Nacua would likely become the primary receiver for the team.
