Philippe Clement has made four changes to his starting lineup as Rangers gear up to face Hearts in the Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park.

After a recent Scottish Premiership match against Dundee, Clement’s strategic choices have brought Leon Balogun, Rabbi Matondo, Mohamed Diomande, and Cyriel Dessers back into the starting eleven.

The clash at Hampden Park pits Rangers against Steven Naismith‘s Hearts, a familiar rivalry from the 2022 Scottish Cup final where Rangers secured victory with goals from Ryan Jack and Scott Wright.

Today, with Jack Butland holding down the fort in goal, a formidable backline of John Souttar, Dujon Sterling, and captain James Tavernier will protect the Rangers’ defensive line.

In the midfield trio, John Lundstram, Diomande, and Todd Cantwell are set to control the center of the pitch, while Abdallah Sima and Matondo will provide attacking support to main striker Dessers.

Rangers have seen success earlier in the season with a 1-0 win over Aberdeen in the League Cup final, where Tavernier found the net, and will look to replicate that form in their quest for the Scottish Cup.

The bench for today’s game includes notable players like Connor Goldson, Fabio Silva, and Kemar Roofe, who are poised to make an impact if called upon by Clement during the crucial semi-final showdown.
