Lamar Jackson Injury Update Baltimore Ravens

OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson missed practice for the second consecutive day on Thursday, increasing concerns about his availability for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans.

The two-time NFL Most Valuable Player is sidelined with a right hamstring injury. Pro Bowl safety Kyle Hamilton also did not practice Thursday due to a groin issue sustained earlier this week. Both players are critical to the Ravens’ success as they prepare to avoid a second 1-4 start in franchise history.

Jackson exited last Sunday’s 37-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs late in the third quarter and struggled to walk afterward. If he cannot play, Cooper Rush, who previously served as the backup quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, would likely start.

<p“Every day we’re just taking it step by step,” said Ravens head coach John Harbaugh when asked about Jackson's condition. “You’ll see the injury reports.”

The Ravens’ defense faces further challenges, with inside linebacker Roquan Smith (hamstring) and cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey (calf) and Chidobe Awuzie (hamstring) also absent from practice. Hamilton, known for his versatility, is the Ravens’ second-leading tackler this season.

Despite the setbacks, tight end Mark Andrews emphasized the team’s resilience: “We’re all fighters. We’ve been through adversity,” he stated. “There’s no quit in this group, and we’re excited to show the world what we can do.”

On the injury front, defensive lineman Travis Jones (knee) participated in a limited capacity while other players like left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle), wide receiver Devontez Walker (oblique), and cornerback Nate Wiggins (elbow) were listed as limited participants.

The looming game against the Texans, who are also struggling at 1-3, could prove crucial for the Ravens as they seek to turn their season around.
