CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Red Bull is making a high-octane return to NASCAR in 2025, partnering with Trackhouse Racing to sponsor select NASCAR Cup Series races. The iconic energy drink brand will feature drivers Shane van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch in a move that marks a significant milestone for both the company and the sport.

Red Bull’s history in NASCAR dates back to the mid-2000s, when the company fielded its own Cup Series team. After achieving notable success, including a win at Michigan International Speedway in 2009 with driver Brian Vickers, the team ceased operations in 2011. Now, Red Bull is back, aligning with Trackhouse Racing to sponsor van Gisbergen’s No. 88 Chevrolet in five races and Zilisch’s No. 87 Chevrolet in his Cup Series debut.

Shane van Gisbergen, a three-time Supercars champion, will race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Sonoma Raceway, Iowa Speedway, Daytona International Speedway, and Kansas Speedway. The New Zealand native has a long-standing relationship with Red Bull, making him a strong contender for success in the Cup Series.

Connor Zilisch, an 18-year-old rising star, will make his NASCAR Cup Series debut at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Zilisch, who has already impressed in the Xfinity Series, is eager to prove himself on the sport’s biggest stage with Red Bull’s backing.

Justin Marks, founder and owner of Trackhouse Racing, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. “Red Bull is one of the most powerful brands in the world, and it’s an honor for us to embark on a partnership with such an iconic company,” Marks said. “This is a huge win for our sport and a moment that will resonate with millions of NASCAR fans around the world.”

The return of Red Bull to NASCAR is expected to bring renewed energy and excitement to the sport. Fans can look forward to seeing the iconic Red Bull paint scheme on the track as the 2025 season unfolds.
