Kyle Monangai Rutgers Usc Game Injury

In the latest development from the college football scene, Rutgers Scarlet Knights star running back Kyle Monangai was seen down on the field during the team’s Week 9 matchup against the USC Trojans. The incident occurred in the second quarter of the game, where Monangai, who is Rutgers’ top offensive weapon, was able to stand up after being down but was noticed rubbing his eyes.

Despite Monangai’s brief absence, the Rutgers team managed to drive down the field and score a touchdown. However, his injury is a significant concern for the Scarlet Knights, given his crucial role in their offense. Monangai has been a standout player, recently highlighted as the Big Ten leader in missed tackles forced with 45.

The game also saw an injury to USC defensive lineman Nate Clifton, who was carted to the locker room after making a tackle on Monangai. Clifton’s injury adds to the Trojans’ defensive woes, as they are already dealing with several injuries on the defensive side of the ball.

Prior to the game, Monangai was listed as questionable due to his status, along with several other key Rutgers players, including CB Eric Rogers, S Flip Dixon, TE Logan Blake, and LB Tyreem Powell.
