Seattle Seahawks Injured Players

SEATTLE, Wash. — The Seattle Seahawks will continue to face challenges with their secondary as the team placed safety Josh Love on injured reserve on Saturday. Love’s injury has kept him sidelined for most of the season, and now he will miss at least the next four games.

Coach Mike Macdonald had anticipated Love’s return this week, but he suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury. Love has already missed four games this season, and Seattle will now rely on other players to step up in his absence.

The Seahawks also placed tight end Eric Saubert on IR, further depleting their roster ahead of their Sunday night game against the Washington Commanders. Both Saubert and Love were ruled out for the matchup.

In a boost for Seattle, cornerback Tre Brown is set to return after missing five games due to a knee injury. However, they have yet to have their secondary at full strength this season, with injuries affecting multiple players.

To bolster their receiver corps, the Seahawks activated rookie fullback from IR and signed safety from their practice squad. Wide receivers D’Wayne Eskridge and Cade Johnson were also elevated from the practice squad to provide additional depth amid ongoing injury concerns.

As the Seahawks prepare to face the Commanders, their secondary will continue to be a focal point, with expectations of improved performance on the field despite the absences of key players.
