BOSTON – Carolina Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis will be a game-time decision for Saturday’s matchup against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden. The 23-year-old winger left Thursday’s game early after sustaining an injury in the third period against the New York Islanders. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour expressed concerns post-game, saying, ‘It didn’t look great.’

Despite the apprehension, Jarvis skated in street clothes during Friday’s optional practice. This morning, Brind’Amour shared his optimism with reporters, stating that Jarvis will participate in warm-ups before a final decision is made on his availability for the game.

If Jarvis is unable to compete, Domenick Fensore, the team’s lone extra healthy player, is expected to take his place, resulting in a lineup adjustment of 11 forwards and seven defensemen. Goaltender Frederik Andersen is set to return to the net after a successful performance from Brandon Bussi in Thursday’s win, where Bussi improved to 3-1.

Andersen has a strong track record against the Bruins, boasting a 16-5-1 record and a .930 save percentage in 22 career games against them. The Hurricanes currently stand fifth in the Eastern Conference with 14 points, while the Bruins sit in 12th place with 12 points.

The latest injury report for the Hurricanes includes William Carrier, Shayne Gostisbehere, K'Andre Miller, Eric Robinson, and Jaccob Slavin, all expected to be sidelined for varying periods. Meanwhile, Bruins forward Elias Lindholm will miss the game after sustaining an injury in the second period of Thursday’s win against the Buffalo Sabres.

As both teams prepare for their match at 1 p.m. ET, anticipation builds around Jarvis’s potential return to the ice and its impact on the Hurricanes’ performance against the struggling Bruins.
