OJ Simpson Refutes Hospice Rumors, Plans Super Bowl Sunday Gathering in Las Vegas
OJ Simpson, the former NFL star and actor, has taken to social media to combat rumors circulating about his health, specifically denying claims of being in hospice care. In a video posted online, Simpson expressed disbelief at the notion, asserting that he is currently hosting friends in Las Vegas for the upcoming Super Bowl event.
Reports had surfaced suggesting that Simpson, who is undergoing chemotherapy treatment for prostate cancer, was in hospice care. The 76-year-old did not directly address the cancer treatment in his video but had previously mentioned battling and ‘beating’ cancer in a statement from May 2023.
Notorious for his involvement in high-profile legal cases, Simpson notably served time in prison for a 2007 armed robbery incident in Las Vegas. Following his release in 2017, Simpson completed his parole in December 2021.
The 1990s trial relating to the deaths of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman, ended in Simpson’s acquittal. However, he was later found liable in a civil lawsuit filed by the victims’ families.
