Aziz Behich, the Australian footballer currently representing his country at the Asia Cup Quarter Final, has caught the attention of Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. With his impressive performance in the tournament so far, Behich has secured a transfer to the Riyadh-based club.

Behich, who returned to the Isuzu UTE A-League with Melbourne City last year, has been a key player for the Socceroos in their quest for the Asian title. The 33-year-old left-back has played every minute of the team’s four matches, and his form has not gone unnoticed.

Al Nassr, currently sitting in second place in the Saudi Pro League, boasts an impressive lineup of players. Led by superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, the team also features former Liverpool and FC Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane, ex-Manchester City centre-back Aymeric Laporte, and former Inter Milan player Marcelo Brozovic.

Behich’s move to Al Nassr marks an exciting new chapter in his career. After a decade playing in Europe, the Australian defender returns to Asia to compete for one of the top clubs in Saudi Arabia. This opportunity will provide him with a chance to play alongside some of the biggest names in world football.

At Melbourne City, Behich made significant contributions, scoring one goal and providing two assists in 19 matches across various competitions. His performances for the club, combined with his national team displays, have earned him this well-deserved move to Al Nassr.

The Socceroo will now join his new club after the conclusion of the Asia Cup. Australia faces a Quarter Final clash against Korea Republic, a rematch of the 2015 Final where the Green and Gold claimed victory with a memorable 2-1 extra-time win. As Behich departs for his new journey in Saudi Arabia, his Australian teammates will be hoping to secure another title for the Socceroos.
