Stanley Recalls 2.6 Million Travel Mugs Due to Burn Hazard
Stanley, a well-known manufacturer of outdoor and household products, has initiated a significant recall of its travel mugs due to a potential burn hazard. According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, approximately 2.6 million Switchback and Trigger Action travel mugs are affected by this recall.
The recall was prompted by reports of the mugs’ lids detaching during use, which has resulted in several burn injuries. Stanley has received 91 reports worldwide, including 16 in the U.S., with 38 burn injuries reported as a consequence of this issue.
The recalled travel mugs were sold at various retailers and online platforms. Consumers are advised to stop using these mugs immediately and contact Stanley for a free replacement lid.
