Star-Studded Soccer Aid 2025 Returns to Old Trafford Tonight

MANCHESTER, England – Soccer Aid for UNICEF is back at Old Trafford tonight, June 15, 2025. The charity match will kick off at 7:30 p.m. BST, featuring a battle between the England XI and the World XI.
This year’s event marks the first time Soccer Aid has been held at the Theatre of Dreams since 2023, following last year’s match at Stamford Bridge. The game aims to raise funds for UNICEF to support children worldwide.
The England XI, hoping to defend their title after a 6-3 win last year, will have Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney as their player-manager. He is joined on the sidelines by boxer Tyson Fury, former manager Harry Redknapp, and actor Vicky McClure. The team includes notable players such as Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, and Jermain Defoe, along with celebrities like Sir Mo Farah and Louis Tomlinson.
On the other side, the World XI will be managed by former goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel. The squad boasts stars like Edwin van der Sar, Carlos Tevez, and Harry Kewell, alongside social media stars Tobi Brown and Noah Beck.
The event has become a fixture on the charity calendar since its inception in 2006, raising over £100 million to date. Last year’s match alone generated £15 million, which will support UNICEF’s mission to provide safe and healthy environments for children globally.
Fans can watch the game live on ITV1 or stream it via ITVX. The coverage begins at 6:00 p.m. BST, hosted by Dermot O’Leary and Alex Scott, and will feature post-match interviews and discussions.
As excitement builds for the match, both teams are prepared to bring their best to the pitch, aiming not just for victory, but to contribute to a worthy cause.
