Streamer xQc Accuses Stewie2K of Scam in CS2 Skin Controversy

LOS ANGELES, CA – Felix “xQc” Lengyel, a popular streamer, has publicly accused professional Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) player Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip of being involved in a skin scam. The controversy emerged after a CS2 trader named MitaoCatCS raised concerns about Stewie2K failing to fulfill a transaction for rare in-game items.

Stewie2K is a well-known figure in the esports community, celebrated for his achievements, including winning a CS Major championship with Cloud9. Recently, he has shifted from competitive play to content creation. His current issues began when MitaoCatCS alleged that Stewie2K backed out of a deal without issuing a refund after receiving payment.

MitaoCatCS stated he sent funds for valuable CS2 skins, including a Karambit Case Hardened (Factory New), Butterfly Doppler (Phase 1), and Vice Gloves (Well-Worn). According to the trader, the transfer did not occur, and Stewie2K reneged on the agreement.

In response to the accusations, Stewie2K cited “technical issues,” claiming that the transaction had been “automatically canceled by bots.” He later shared a screenshot of his Steam trade log to support his defense; however, the authenticity of this evidence was questioned after inconsistencies were noted by viewers.

During a live stream, Stewie2K revised his narrative, suggesting that the transaction was a loan rather than a trade. He mentioned that the agreement had been extended for a month and a half. This clarification did little to quell skepticism around the situation.

Adding to the controversy, xQc has revealed his own experiences, stating that he had previously loaned Stewie2K several expensive skins that were not fully returned. “I just didn’t make it public at the time,” xQc stated, explaining his decision to speak out amidst the growing accusations.

The unfolding situation has sparked renewed discussions about Stewie2K’s reputation within the CS community, as multiple figures now question his integrity. As of now, Stewie2K continues to deny any wrongdoing, while fans and players closely monitor the developments around these serious allegations.
