Super Bowl 2025: Date, Location, Halftime Performer, and More
Super Bowl 59, set to take place on February 9, 2025, is generating significant excitement among football fans and music enthusiasts alike. The game will be held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, marking the 11th time the city has hosted the event since the New Orleans Saints became an NFL franchise in 1967.
The matchup will feature the playoff winners from the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC), with the game scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET. The event will be broadcast on Fox and can also be streamed on Fubo.
One of the highlights of Super Bowl 59 is the halftime show, which will be headlined by 17-time Grammy-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar. Lamar, known for his impactful contributions to hip-hop, announced his performance in a YouTube video, expressing his enthusiasm for the event. This will not be Lamar’s first Super Bowl appearance; he previously performed during the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show alongside other notable artists.
Lil Wayne, another prominent figure in the music industry, recently addressed a controversy related to the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show during the 2024 Lil Weezyana Fest in New Orleans. However, the specifics of the controversy were not detailed. During the event, Lil Wayne also received the Key to the City of New Orleans.
The national anthem performer for Super Bowl 59 has yet to be announced, following in the footsteps of last year’s performer, country music star Reba McEntire.
