Taylor Swift’s Influence Spreads to Bottle Shops with the Release of New Lilac Drink
Taylor Swift‘s impact on Australian retailers ahead of her highly anticipated Eras Tour is estimated to exceed $140 million, and now it seems her influence is extending to an unexpected industry – bottle shops. The pop sensation popularized the color purple in 2022 with her hit song Lavender Haze, and lilac has since become a trendy hue in fashion, makeup, and even food.
Smirnoff, the renowned vodka brand, is capitalizing on Swiftie fever by launching a limited-edition alcoholic drink called Smirnoff Ice Lavender Lemonade. This new purple version of their popular ready-to-drink beverage will be available nationwide starting from February 13, just in time for The Eras Tour opening.
Maddy Stockwell, the Marketing Manager for Smirnoff, explains that they are embracing the lavender trend, stating, “With the color purple having its moment, we’re leaning into our lavender era with the launch of Smirnoff Lavender Lemonade, creating a new taste that sparks excitement. Smirnoff lives and breathes music, so when we saw the line-up of incredible musicians and artists making their way to Aussie stages this year, we knew we had to get ready for it.”
The new Smirnoff Ice Lavender Lemonade is described as a delicious combination of lavender and refreshing lemon. It blends triple-distilled Smirnoff vodka and crisp lemonade, with a touch of light lavender for a fragrant finish. The vibrant mix of tart and sweet, with an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 4.5%, provides a perfect thirst quencher for fans looking to cool down while enjoying The Eras Tour.
The limited-edition beverage is available at select nationwide retailers, including Dan Murphys and BWS. A four-pack of the iconic 300ml glass bottles is priced at $21.99. However, it’s important to note that alcohol consumption is only permitted for individuals aged 18 years and above, and it is essential to drink responsibly.
