Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt Baseball Game Time Adjusted Due to Weather

HOOVER, Ala. — The SEC Baseball Tournament semifinal game between Tennessee and Vanderbilt will now start at 11 a.m. ET on Saturday due to forecasts predicting inclement weather in the afternoon.
The game was originally scheduled for a 1 p.m. ET start. This change allows both teams a better chance of completing the match before possible thunderstorms arrive. The SEC confirmed the adjusted time on Friday evening.
Currently, the weather forecast predicts clear skies until around 2 p.m., after which the likelihood of scattered thunderstorms increases. This decision was made in hopes of avoiding any weather-related disruptions for the teams and fans.
Tennessee has advanced to the semifinals after securing back-to-back wins over Alabama and Texas, the No. 1 seed, showcasing their resilience as they aim for an SEC tournament title.
Vanderbilt, on the other hand, came off a double bye and defeated Oklahoma with a score of 6-1 to reach this stage. The last time these two teams faced off, Vanderbilt won two out of three games during the regular season series in Knoxville.
The other semifinal matchup will feature the winners of Friday’s games between Ole Miss against Arkansas and Texas A&M against LSU, which will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Tennessee-Vanderbilt game.
The SEC Championship is scheduled for Sunday at 3 p.m. ET, broadcast on ESPN2. Fans are eager to see if Tennessee can secure a favorable spot in the upcoming NCAA tournament with a victory over its rival.
