Los Angeles, CA – Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw announced on Instagram that he will not appear on FOX NFL Sunday’s Week 11 pregame coverage on Sunday, November 16, due to a common cold.

The 77-year-old football legend shared with his followers, “Just in case you notice, won’t be on Fox today. Just have a cold. All good.” This message came after he was sent home sick, leading to Curt Menefee, Howie Long, and Michael Strahan hosting the show without him.

Supporters quickly flooded social media with messages of encouragement, expressing hopes for his swift recovery. Bradshaw’s transparency about his health has become a hallmark of his time at FOX, especially considering his serious health battles in recent years.

In 2022, Bradshaw publicly addressed his diagnosis of two different cancers within a year. He revealed he had bladder cancer diagnosed in November 2021 and later encountered a rare Merkel cell tumor in his neck, receiving treatments at prestigious medical centers.

During that announcement, he told viewers, “Folks, I may not look like my old self, but I feel like my old self. I’m cancer free, I’m feeling great. And over time, I’m going to be back to where I normally am.” His willingness to speak openly about his struggles has made him an inspiration to many audiences facing their own health issues.

Bradshaw’s absences due to health issues are not new. Earlier this year, he missed pregame coverage during the 2024 NFC Championship game, prompting host Curt Menefee to inform viewers, “Usually right here for all 30 years, Terry Bradshaw. But TB is a little under the weather right now. He’s going to have the evening off.” Despite these challenges, Bradshaw continues to maintain his role at FOX.
