Tia Mowry Repurposing Wedding Ring

Tia Mowry, the star of the popular 90s sitcom ‘Sister, Sister,’ has been navigating a new chapter in her life following her divorce from ex-husband Cory Hardrict after 14 years of marriage. In a recent episode of her reality series ‘Tia Mowry: My Next Act,’ Tia shared her plans for her wedding ring, which she has not worn for nearly two years.

Tia expressed her desire to transform the wedding band into something special for her children, Cree, 13, and Cairo, 6. “Passing it down feels right because they are my greatest gift,” she said, highlighting the sentimental value of the ring and its new purpose. Despite the emotional challenge of repurposing the ring, Tia sees this as a positive step in her journey towards independence and self-discovery.

The 46-year-old actress has been focused on self-exploration and understanding what love truly means, rather than seeking new relationships immediately. “At this stage, it’s not something I’m concentrating on,” she stated, emphasizing her current focus on herself and her personal growth. However, she remains open to the possibility of future relationships, acknowledging that her perspective could change in the future.

Tia’s transition has been significant, especially given her history with Cory, whom she met at 20 and married after a few years. She reflected on the freedom and choices she now has, saying, “I feel that, yes, I am vulnerable right now, but for the first time, I’m realizing that I have choices. I can voice my thoughts, I can be myself, and I can choose happiness.”
