Trade Buzz Builds Around Jakobi Meyers as Deadline Approaches

LAS VEGAS, NV – The NFL trade deadline is fast approaching, and speculation surrounds wide receiver Jakobi Meyers of the Las Vegas Raiders. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that some teams believe the Raiders may be willing to trade Meyers for the right price, although they are not actively shopping him.
“Teams I’ve spoken to believe the Raiders are open to trading wide receiver Jakobi Meyers but are not actively trying to move him,” Fowler stated. The Raiders seem inclined to let the season unfold before deciding on significant roster changes. Meyers, who requested a trade during the preseason after failing to secure a new contract, remains a viable option should the Raiders look to make a deal.
Last season, Meyers recorded 87 receptions for 1,027 yards and four touchdowns in 15 games, showcasing impressive performance amidst quarterback instability. In the current season, he has tallied 329 receiving yards despite challenges on the field.
Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers, sitting at 3-1 in the AFC North, are also exploring trades ahead of the deadline. Adam Schefter from ESPN reports that the Steelers plan to be active as they look to enhance their roster further. With the organization monitoring potential trades, Meyers could be one of the names on their radar.
The Steelers are targeting specific positions, including a wide receiver due to injuries, and possibly an offensive lineman to strengthen their lineup. If they deem Meyers or other targets like Jaylen Waddle from the Miami Dolphins could improve their chances, they may initiate talks soon.
As teams gear up for the trade deadline, the interest in players like Jakobi Meyers continues to grow, especially as the Raiders weigh their options going forward.
