Ben Saraf Danny Wolf Nba Draft 2025

NEW YORK, NY — Israeli point guard Ben Saraf and University of Michigan standout Danny Wolf are projected to be selected in the 2025 NBA Draft, starting this Wednesday evening.

Saraf, 19, chose to wear the number 77 on his jersey based on its religious significance, representing the Jewish word for luck, “mazal.” Wolf, 21, a towering 7-footer, is expected to be a mid- to late-first round pick, possibly even being chosen 10th overall, according to draft analysts.

The first round of the NBA Draft will air live at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN, while the second round will follow on Thursday. Both players are set to join established Jewish players in the league, including Portland Trail Blazers’ forward who had a successful recent season and Sacramento Kings’ center Domantas Sabonis, who converted to Judaism last year.

This year’s draft could see a historic moment if both Saraf and Wolf are selected, marking the first time in nearly 20 years that two Jewish players have been drafted in the same year. The last time this happened was in 2006 with Lior Eliyahu and Yotam Halperin.

Wolf, initially not a top prospect, transferred to Michigan after shining at Yale University, where he led his team to the Sweet 16. He averaged 13.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 blocks during his season at Michigan, showcasing his versatility and skill set.

NBA analyst Jake Flom highlighted Wolf’s unique attributes, noting his capability as a big man and playmaker. “He can do big man stuff like rebound and block shots, but he can also handle the ball and pass efficiently,” Flom said, adding that Wolf excelled in shooting drills leading up to the draft.

Meanwhile, Saraf has drawn attention for his strong performance with Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany, where he averaged 12.8 points and 4.6 assists, helping his team to the league finals. At 6-foot-6, Saraf’s height offers him defensive advantages, although shooting remains a development area for him.

Despite uncertainty about their draft positions, both players are poised for significant careers in the NBA. As they prepare for their futures, Saraf will compete in a league final in Munich, while Wolf awaits his moment in the draft spotlight.
