Tyler Reddick Secures Pole Position for NASCAR Cup Race at Homestead-Miami Speedway
Tyler Reddick, the regular-season champion, has secured the pole position for the second race of the third round of NASCAR‘s playoffs at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Reddick achieved this feat by turning a lap at a speed of 167.452 mph in his Toyota Camry for 23XI Racing, edging out Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson by a margin of 0.077 seconds.
This is Reddick’s third pole of the 2024 season in the No. 45 Camry. He is one of seven drivers competing for the remaining three spots in the Cup Series championship finale at Phoenix. Joey Logano of Team Penske has already secured a spot in the championship after his win at Las Vegas last week.
Christopher Bell of Joe Gibbs Racing, who won the race at Homestead last year, qualified third in the No. 20 Camry. His teammate, Denny Hamlin, qualified fourth in the No. 11 Camry. Other notable qualifying positions for playoff drivers include Chase Elliott in seventh, reigning Cup champion Ryan Blaney in 20th, and William Byron in 25th place.
