UAE-banned Usman Khan Named in Pakistan Squad for T20 Series Against New Zealand
Pakistan has announced its squad for the upcoming five-match T20 series against New Zealand, including the uncapped Usman Khan who was recently banned by the ECB.
The 28-year-old Usman Khan was banned by the ECB after expressing his desire to play for his country of birth and attending a Pakistan cricket camp at the Army training academy in Kakul.
The T20 series is set to begin on April 18 at Rawalpindi, with matches also scheduled in Lahore. Pakistan captain Babar Azam will lead the side, aiming to bounce back from a recent series loss to New Zealand.
Usman Khan, thrilled by his inclusion in the squad, stated that representing his country is a dream come true and he is looking forward to securing a spot in the T20 World Cup squad.
The squad also features the return of Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, both of whom came out of retirement recently to make themselves available for national selection.
