Ubisoft Unveils Major Changes for Rainbow Six Siege on 10th Anniversary

ATLANTA, Georgia — Ubisoft will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its popular tactical shooter, Rainbow Six Siege, with a showcase event on March 13, 2025, at 1 p.m. Eastern Time. This event promises to reveal significant transformations to the game, signaling a new era for the franchise.
The Rainbow Six Siege X showcase is expected to feature exclusive insights from developers, creators, and players, hoping to redefine the tactical first-person shooter experience. Featuring new gameplay mechanics and deeper tactical elements, Ubisoft aims to create heightened excitement among the community.
Ubisoft has invited prominent streamers, including Michael ‘Shroud‘ Grzesiek, Hasan ‘HasanAbi‘ Piker, and Ludwig Ahgren, to be part of the event, which highlights the company’s strategy to engage both new audiences and existing fans. According to a company spokesperson, “This showcase will be the biggest transformation in the title’s history and opens the door to innovative ways to play.”
Live from Atlanta, the event will also feature a simultaneous livestream on Twitch and a countdown for fans. Viewers who participate can earn exclusive in-game rewards, although the specifics of those rewards have yet to be announced.
Fans anticipate the reveal of the new UI and gameplay updates that have been rumored to include a combat progression tracker and revamped maps like Chalet and Border, with improved lighting and reworked designs. Earlier leaks shared via the Rainbow Six Leaks Discord server suggest that players can expect Valkyrie‘s Paragon Elite skin, featuring a unique blue and gold armor set.
Notably, while some fans regard the inclusion of mainstream streamers as beneficial for increasing visibility, others are concerned that prominent Rainbow Six Siege creators have been sidelined in favor of more popular influencers. One user commented, “It’s great to attract new viewers, but I can’t believe some essential creators didn’t make the list.”
As the gaming community awaits this potentially groundbreaking update, Ubisoft’s announcement at the Six Invitational 2025 has built anticipation surrounding the reveal of Siege X, marking a considerable step forward for the franchise.
The event, set for March 13 at 10 a.m. PT, will also indicate the start of a beta period, during which gamers can engage with the updated features. Ubisoft is positioning Siege X as a transformative version of the beloved game that fans have celebrated since its release in 2015.
