UNC vs. Minnesota Football Game Delayed Due to Weather
The highly anticipated football match between the North Carolina Tar Heels and Minnesota Golden Gophers has been delayed due to inclement weather conditions in Minneapolis.
The game was originally scheduled for an 8 p.m. ET kickoff. However, following weather warnings, it has been rescheduled to start at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
In addition to this matchup, another game in the state, featuring the University of North Carolina‘s 2024 season opener against Western Carolina, has also faced delays from lightning in the area.
This game presents an opportunity for Minnesota to improve following their 31-13 loss to North Carolina last season. With quarterback Drake Maye no longer with the Tar Heels after being selected as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, Max Johnson and Conner Harrell are expected to share quarterback responsibilities for UNC.
For Minnesota, Max Brosmer, a transfer from New Hampshire, is slated to start at quarterback.
Updates regarding the weather conditions continue, informing fans about the start of the game.
