Usc Football Game Day Experience

Los Angeles, CA – Ahead of USC Football’s Big Ten home opener against Michigan State on Saturday, USC Athletics has analyzed extensive fan feedback from its first two home games. This analysis included over 1,600 survey responses and thousands of data points to improve the overall game day experience.

USC Athletics is committed to enhancing its interaction with fans and ensuring a vibrant atmosphere in the Coliseum. The department has initiated immediate changes based on survey responses and is also working on long-term strategies for future improvements.

One significant finding showed that most fans were able to clear security and enter the Coliseum in 15 minutes or less across both games. This efficiency received positive feedback from fans, encouraging USC to promote early arrivals to mitigate the pre-game rush.

In response to requests for more affordable concessions, USC will introduce the Big Ten Special for the upcoming game. Fans can purchase a hot dog and a drink for $10 from 6:30–7:30 p.m., which aims to draw fans in early and foster an exciting atmosphere from the start.

The Trojan Marching Band, often referred to as “The Greatest Marching Band in the History of the Universe, Ever!” has also been praised. Survey results indicated that about 80% of respondents rated the band highly, with many appreciating the frequency of its performances.

For students, feedback has been very favorable, yielding a Net Promoter Score of 75. Over 91% of student respondents expressed satisfaction with their experiences, particularly highlighting the mix of band and DJ music.

However, about 10% of students reported longer wait times at entry, indicating a need for ongoing improvements in the ingress process. USC Athletics is encouraging students to arrive earlier for the game on Saturday to enhance their experience and support the team.

The department plans to continue gathering feedback to ensure that the Coliseum provides an outstanding home-field experience for fans throughout the season.
