Usf Food Drive Raymond James Stadium

In a show of solidarity with those affected by hurricanes Helene and Milton, the University of South Florida (USF) has announced a partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay to host a food drive. This initiative is set to take place at Raymond James Stadium this Saturday, coinciding with the USF Bulls’ game against the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

Starting three hours prior to the 3:30 p.m. kickoff, fans who contribute three or more non-perishable items will receive a coupon. This coupon can be exchanged for two complimentary tickets to a future Bulls home football game, including the game on Saturday. Donations will be collected by USF student-athletes in Bulls Bay, located in the south plaza just outside the stadium.

Feeding Tampa Bay, a nonprofit hunger-relief organization operating with agency partners in ten counties across west-central Florida, is requesting donations of canned foods, dry goods, and other essential supplies. These include disinfectant wipes, disposable plastic utensils, hygiene products, and trash bags.

USF’s athletic director Michael Kelly expressed the university’s commitment to assisting those in need. “In one way or another, these hurricanes have affected all of us in the Tampa Bay region, and we are proud to offer our support to all those affected,” Kelly stated. “Our community is strong. I know we can make a significant impact to help those affected by hurricanes Milton and Helene by working together.”

To further support hurricane relief efforts, multiple video-board messages during the game will provide information on additional ways fans can donate. The USF Foundation has also established a platform to aid students impacted by the hurricanes.

Additionally, USF Athletics has encouraged support through its social media channels, highlighting the critical relief efforts necessary to aid the Tampa Bay region.
