Veteran Nollywood Actor Kola Oyewo Opens Up About Prostate Enlargement Battle

Veteran Nollywood actor Kola Oyewo recently shared a candid revelation about his challenging battle with prostate enlargement, revealing how the ailment has impacted his life.

During a heartwarming visit by actor Kunle Afod and veteran actor Peter Fatomilola at his home in Osun State, Oyewo recounted the health ordeal that began in July 2019 when he started experiencing difficulties passing urine.

After a medical diagnosis confirmed prostate enlargement, Oyewo underwent surgeries to manage the condition, including a procedure to facilitate urine passage artificially.

The 77-year-old actor reflected on the emotional toll of the diagnosis, especially as his wife was simultaneously battling a stroke since 2017.

Despite facing the prospect of being unable to engage in sexual intercourse due to his health condition, Oyewo bravely prioritized his well-being, stating that he no longer needed sexual activity as his children were grown and independent.

Kola Oyewo, known for his roles in productions like ‘Orogun Adedigba,’ currently serves as a performing arts lecturer at Elizade University Ilara-Mokin in Ondo State.

His resilience and positive outlook on life have been evident as he continues to navigate his health journey with gratitude for the gift of life.

Oyewo’s story serves as a reminder of the importance of health and the courage required to confront and overcome significant challenges in life.
