San Francisco, CA – The Golden State Warriors may be leaning on Quinten Post more amid injuries to Draymond Green and Al Horford. Coach Steve Kerr is considering making Post a regular in the rotation as fans have increasingly called for his extended playtime.

Post, who has played in every game this season, often saw limited minutes, averaging only 16.3 minutes during his rookie campaign. However, he has shined during recent games, leading the team in plus-minus while contributing better defensively and in rebounding.

In the last three contests, Post averaged nearly 24 minutes per game and pushed his plus-minus to +39, hinting at his growing importance to the team’s success. Despite struggling with his shooting, hitting only 33.3% from three-point range this season, his defensive skills have seen a significant improvement.

According to stats, offensive players shoot 44.9% when guarded by Post, a figure that is notably lower than the 53.1% allowed by the veteran Green. Post has also eclipsed Green in defensive rating and has nearly doubled his defensive win shares from last year.

The 25-year-old took the starting role against the Utah Jazz on Monday night, recording nine points, four rebounds, and a career-high five assists. In addition, he successfully limited Jazz star Lauri Markkanen to just 2-of-7 shooting.

The Warriors face a critical decision with bigger challenges ahead, including a match against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. The recent performances suggest that Post deserves at least 20 minutes of playtime even with full veteran availability.
