Golden State Warriors Vs Sacramento Kings 2025

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Golden State Warriors‘ struggles against the Sacramento Kings continued Wednesday night with a 123-117 loss at Golden 1 Center. The defeat marked the Warriors’ fourth consecutive regular-season loss to their Northern California rivals and dropped their record below .500 at 21-22.

Despite leading by as many as 18 points in the first half, the Warriors collapsed in the third quarter, being outscored 37-20. Turnovers proved costly, as Golden State committed 19 giveaways, leading to 27 points for the Kings. Steph Curry was held to 14 points but dished out a season-high 12 assists, while Andrew Wiggins led the team with 25 points.

The Kings capitalized on their opportunities, making 21 more free throws than the Warriors and dominating fastbreak points 28-0. Sacramento’s aggressive playstyle contrasted sharply with Golden State’s reliance on 3-point shooting, as the Warriors made 22 threes compared to the Kings’ 11.

“I was trying to bring energy, both on defense and offense,” said Warriors forward Gui Santos, who scored 11 points in the second quarter. “I had a couple of wide-open shots, and today I knocked them down.” Santos’ efforts were not enough to sustain momentum, as the Warriors faltered after halftime.

Dennis Schröder, who was moved to the bench for the first time since joining the Warriors, struggled with five turnovers in 21 minutes. “The change didn’t matter,” said Coach Steve Kerr, who made multiple adjustments to the starting lineup. “We’re not good enough to be this sloppy with the ball.”

The loss highlighted ongoing issues for the Warriors, who have repeatedly emphasized the need to reduce turnovers. With the season nearing its midpoint, Golden State faces mounting pressure to address their inconsistencies and regain their competitive edge.
