Washington Huskies Face Illinois in Big Ten Showdown This Saturday
ANN ARBOR, MI – The Washington Huskies will host the No. 23 Illinois Fighting Illini this Saturday at Husky Stadium in Seattle, marking their 12th all-time meeting.
Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. PT on October 25, 2025. Washington, with a current record of 5-2, leads the series against Illinois with seven wins to four, dating back to their first match in 1950.
The rivalry was reignited with home-and-home games in 2013 and 2014, both victories for the Huskies, extending their win streak against the Illini to five games.
Fans can watch the game live on the Big Ten Network, featuring commentators Jeff Levering, Jake Butt, and Brooke Fletcher. For radio listeners, Seattle’s SportsRadio KJR 93.3 FM will broadcast the game starting four hours prior to kickoff, with statewide coverage beginning two hours before.
Washington running back Jonah Coleman, leading the nation with 11.1 points per game, contributes significantly to the explosive offense totaling 13 touchdowns. Quarterback Demond Williams Jr. ranks eighth nationally in completion percentage and 12th in pass efficiency.
The Huskies remain dominant in fourth quarters, outscoring their opponents 80-20, a trend that has played a key role in their successful season, highlighted by a 24-20 comeback victory over Maryland.
Following Saturday’s matchup, Washington will continue its schedule with an away game against Wisconsin on November 8.
