Women's Premier League 2024 Season 2 Kicks Off In Bangalore

The Women's Premier League 2024 season 2 is all set to commence on Friday, February 23rd, in Bangalore. The league features five teams battling it out for the championship across 22 matches. The matches will be divided into two legs, with the first leg taking place in Bangalore and the second in Delhi. The tournament’s opening match will see the Mumbai Indians facing off against the Delhi Capitals women’s team.

Arjun Jaitley Stadium and Chinnaswamy Stadium will host the matches, with fixtures scheduled from February 23rd to March 4th in Bangalore. Delhi will then host the league. All matches of the Women's Premier League will commence at 7:30 PM IST and will be broadcasted live on the Sports18 network. The matches will also be streamed live on the Jio Cinema app for free.

The Women’s Premier League was first introduced in 2023, following the format of the IPL. Mumbai Indians clinched the championship in the inaugural season by defeating Delhi Capitals by seven wickets in the final match.

The fixtures for Women’s Premier League 2024 are as follows:

Feb 23 – Mumbai Indians vs. Delhi Capitals, Bengaluru, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium

Feb 24 – Royal Challengers Bangalore vs. UP Warriors, Bengaluru, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
