Ethereum Investment Rise

LONDON, United Kingdom — Ethereum investment products generated $205 million in inflows last week, following a climb toward $2,700. This is a stark increase from the $1.5 million in inflows reported the week before, according to a report from CoinShares, a crypto asset management firm.

Overall, digital asset investment products saw a total influx of $785 million, bringing the year-to-date total to more than $7.4 billion, marking the highest level of 2025 so far. “Ethereum was the standout performer,” said James Butterfill, Head of Research at CoinShares, while noting that Solana-based funds experienced $1 million in outflows.

As of Monday, Ethereum’s price had dropped to $2,400, a 4.3% decline over the past day. Nevertheless, the asset is still up 50% from the beginning of the month when it started around $1,850. Despite a challenging first quarter, Butterfill noted, investors have been eager to gain exposure to Ethereum.

“It’s been massively beaten down in price recently,” he explained. “When the price is down, it’s seen a big influx of inflows.” This increased interest comes less than two weeks after Ethereum activated the first phase of its ‘Pectra’ upgrade, which enhances scaling and aims to keep transactions affordable.

While Ethereum funds exhibited significant interest, Bitcoin investment products attracted greater cash inflows, receiving $557 million last week, totaling $7.2 billion for the year. Digital asset investment products overall have observed five consecutive weeks of inflows, surpassing a prior peak of $7.2 billion in February.

It’s worth noting that spot Ethereum ETFs have lagged behind Bitcoin ones, with Ethereum attracting $2.5 billion compared to Bitcoin’s $42 billion since their launches. Analysts attribute part of this to the absence of staking rewards for Ethereum ETF investors. However, with the new changes following the Pectra upgrade, it’s anticipated that institutions may feel more confident integrating staking rewards into their offerings.
