Teaser Trailer for Zootopia 2 Released Ahead of November Premiere

BURBANK, California — Walt Disney Animation Studios unveiled a new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated sequel, Zootopia 2, on May 20. The film is set to hit theaters on November 26, 2025.

Returning characters Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, respectively, are back in action. The trailer introduces a new character, Gary De’Snake, a mysterious pit viper voiced by Ke Huy Quan, who turns the city of Zootopia upside down.

In Zootopia 2, rookie officers Judy and Nick embark on a twisting trail to crack a significant mystery. They must go undercover in unexpected parts of town, putting their partnership to the test.

Disney Animation chief creative officer and director Jared Bush expressed excitement, stating, ‘We are beyond excited to welcome everyone back to the outrageous, expansive animal metropolis of Zootopia. Whether it’s the marshes of semi-aquatic mammals or vast desert dunes, our heroes will encounter new friends and uncover more about their world.’

The trailer features an original song, ‘ZUTU,’ created by the techno group LEMEEENS, who recently toured with pop icon Gazelle, voiced by Shakira.

Additional cast members for Zootopia 2 include Fortune Feimster and Quinta Brunson. The film aims to build on the success of the original Zootopia, which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2017 and inspired a TV spinoff series, Zootopia+.

The release of the teaser trailer gives fans a taste of the action coming in Zootopia 2, promising a thrilling and humorous adventure in a broader animated world.
