Rod Stewart to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at 2025 AMAs

LOS ANGELES – May 20, 2025 – Legendary singer Rod Stewart is set to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs), recognizing his impressive career that spans nearly six decades. The ceremony will take place on Monday, May 26, at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
Stewart, 80, will also perform one of his classic hits, marking his first appearance on the AMAs stage since 2004. Executive producers Barry Adelman and Alexi Mazareas praised Stewart, stating, “Sir Rod Stewart is a master showman whose charisma and energy have defied time and embody the very spirit of rock and roll.”
In addition to Stewart, the AMAs will feature veteran artists including host Jennifer Lopez, along with Janet Jackson, who will receive the prestigious ICON Award and perform for the first time since 2018. Other performers include Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and Lainey Wilson.
With over 50 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and numerous awards, including two Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductions, Stewart’s accolades include a Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music in 1993 and the Ivor Novello Awards Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999. His chart-topping singles include hits like “Maggie May,” “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy,” and “Forever Young.”
This summer, Stewart will also launch the North American leg of his “One Last Time” world tour, returning to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace later in 2025. The AMAs promise a star-studded lineup and will air live coast to coast at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS and Paramount+.
