Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s Legal Clash Involves Taylor Swift’s Alleged Threats

NEW YORK, New York — Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni are embroiled in a legal battle that has drawn in pop superstar Taylor Swift. In a recent filing, Baldoni’s lawyers claimed that Lively pressured Swift to issue a public statement of support amid their ongoing court dispute.
This legal conflict began when Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment during the filming of the movie “It Ends With Us,” which he directed. Since then, both actors have launched lawsuits against each other, with Lively alleging that Baldoni and others attempted to orchestrate a smear campaign against her.
Baldoni’s attorney labeled Lively’s accusations as “shameful” and “categorically false.” In response, Baldoni has countersued Lively, her husband, and their publicist for extortion and defamation.
Swift’s legal team recently confirmed that she was not involved in any of the production decisions for “It Ends With Us.” A spokesperson for Swift stated, “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie.” Swift had only licensed her song “My Tears Ricochet” for the film, like many other artists.
The conflict intensified when Baldoni’s legal team claimed that Lively’s attorney demanded that Swift publicly support Lively, threatening to release private text messages if she refused to comply. Lively’s lawyer vehemently denied these allegations, calling them “cowardly” and “untethered from reality.”
“This is categorically false,” Lively’s lawyer, Mike Gottlieb, stated, expressing intentions to file motions to hold Baldoni’s attorneys accountable for their actions.
The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York is set to hear arguments related to these matters on March 9, 2026. As the case proceeds, the fallout from this ongoing legal drama continues to attract media attention, especially regarding the implications for Lively and Swift’s friendship.
