Caught Stealing Movie Trailer Austin Butler

LOS ANGELES, CA — The trailer for Darren Aronofsky’s highly anticipated crime caper, ‘Caught Stealing,’ has been released, showcasing the film’s thrilling plot set in 1990s New York City.

Austin Butler stars as Hank Thompson, a former baseball prodigy who finds himself navigating the dangerous underworld of NYC. The logline describes Hank as being ‘unexpectedly embroiled in a dangerous struggle for survival amidst the criminal underbelly,’ revealing a tense storyline that ensues when he agrees to watch his neighbor’s cat.

The film’s official release is set for August 29, and it promises to have audiences on the edge of their seats. Alongside Butler, the cast includes notable names such as Zoë Kravitz, Matt Smith, Regina King, Liev Schreiber, Vincent D’Onofrio, Action Bronson, and Griffin Dunne.

‘I am excited to be teaming up with my old friends at Sony Pictures to bring Charlie Huston’s adrenaline-soaked roller coaster ride to life,’ Aronofsky said in a statement. He praised Huston’s books, from which the film is adapted, as captivating and dynamic.

Aronofsky has an impressive track record, with previous works including the Academy Award-winning film ‘The Whale.’ He aims with ‘Caught Stealing’ to offer a lighter tone while keeping the thrill intact. During CinemaCon earlier this year, he expressed his desire to create ‘something that was a lot of fun.’

The film is based on Huston’s book series, presenting a story where Hank must rely on his instincts and wits as he becomes entangled with various gangster factions, all while trying to uncover why they are after him.

‘Caught Stealing’ showcases Aronofsky’s direction along with production from his team at Protozoa, including Jeremy Dawson and Ari Handel. As the excitement builds, fans eagerly await the film’s theatrical release.
