Joe Burrow Netflix Quarterback Show

Cincinnati, Ohio – Joe Burrow will star in Season 2 of Netflix’s hit series ‘Quarterback,’ set to premiere in July. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback initially declined to participate in the first season but changed his mind after being convinced by Peyton Manning, the show’s executive producer.

Burrow spoke about his decision on Tuesday, saying, “A big part was Peyton being involved in it. I have a lot of respect for him, obviously. When that guy reaches out to you and asks you to do something… most of the time I’m going to say ‘yes.’” He emphasized his trust in Manning and his belief that the show would present a positive image for him and the Bengals.

The first season of ‘Quarterback’ gained success by following players like Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota during the 2022 NFL season. After its popularity, Netflix green-lit a second season but faced challenges in signing new quarterbacks. Ultimately, Manning’s commitment to involvement helped secure Burrow as a key figure in the series.

Besides Burrow, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is also set to appear, with Cousins returning for another round. Burrow’s participation is significant, especially since he declined the initial offer. “I probably wouldn’t have done it if he [Manning] wasn’t involved,” Burrow admitted.

The show will address various topics, including the burglary of Burrow’s home last December, which was not covered in the first season of ‘Hard Knocks’. Burrow remarked, “That was definitely a curveball I didn’t quite expect… but the people involved were great,” emphasizing the positive experience despite initial concerns.

Burrow recently completed his final interview for the series and has watched early episodes, noting, “I’ll leave it to viewers to decide if it’s any good or not.” With the premiere approaching, fans eagerly await to see the insights into Burrow’s life and career.
