Quentin Tarantino Favorite Movies Comedy

Los Angeles, CA — Acclaimed filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, known for his love of cinema, recently revealed some of his favorite comedic films from the past 25 years. Tarantino, who hosted a memorable but disastrous episode of Saturday Night Live in 1995, has a surprising affinity for comedies that might not be immediately known to his fans.

Among Tarantino’s top picks are notable titles such as Mad Max: Fury Road, Battle Royale, and Top Gun: Maverick. However, the director particularly praised Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s Team America: World Police, a film he enjoyed so much that he has seen it five or six times.

The Reservoir Dogs director expressed appreciation for the movie’s homage to his own film Kill Bill, claiming that being referenced in a respectful manner made him stand out among Hollywood celebrities.

In addition to Team America, Tarantino cited Edgar Wright’s Shaun of the Dead as another favorite, calling it a unique blend of zombie horror and romantic comedy.

Surprisingly, his list also includes Jason Reitman’s Young Adult, a dark comedy featuring Charlize Theron as a delusional writer returning to her hometown, showcasing Tarantino’s varied taste in film.

Tarantino didn’t forget Pixar’s Toy Story 3, which he praised for its engaging characters and humor. He has been quoted saying he loved Toy Story 3 so much that he avoided watching its sequel, Toy Story 4, considering the original hard to surpass.

This insight into Tarantino’s film preferences highlights his eclectic taste and deep appreciation for various genres, especially comedy.
