Houston Dash Soccer Match

SAN JOSE, Calif. (May 21, 2025) – The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has announced that the kickoff for the Houston Dash match against Bay FC, scheduled for Saturday, May 24, has been moved to 7:00 p.m. CT. This change is due to the expected high temperatures throughout the afternoon.

The decision to adjust the schedule was made in consultation with both teams, aiming to prioritize the health and safety of players and officials. Although the forecast remains safe for spectators, the league decided to ensure all participants can compete under better conditions.

Gates at Shell Energy Stadium will now open at 6:00 p.m. CT ahead of the match. This adjustment comes as both teams prepare for a challenging game, especially after the Dash’s recent performance.

Bay FC goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz has been called up to the U.S. U-23 Women’s National Team roster for an upcoming training camp and friendlies in Germany from May 26 to June 5. This marks her first international call-up at any level. Silkowitz has been performing well this season and will still be available for the Houston match before heading off to represent her country.

As for the Dash, they are looking to recover from a recent 1-4 loss to Portland. Rookie standout Maggie Graham has been leading the team, and the Dash will aim for a stronger showing this weekend. The last time these two teams met, Bay FC won in a thrilling match, but both teams have undergone changes since then.

Fans are encouraged to attend and support the teams as they compete in what promises to be an exciting matchup.
