BTS to Reunite After Military Service, Fans Eager for New Music

SEOUL, South Korea – BTS fans, known as ARMY, are eagerly awaiting the reunion of the iconic K-pop group as their final members complete military service. Jin and j-hope were the first to enlist in December 2022, with RM, Suga, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook following suit. After 18 months of required service, all seven members will reconvene in June 2025.
The anticipation is high, as it will mark five years since the release of BTS’ last album, “Be,” which topped charts and solidified their status as global superstars. Hit singles like “Dynamite” and “Life Goes On” helped keep the group’s momentum alive, even during their military obligations.
Throughout their time apart, each member explored solo music careers, releasing singles, EPs, and full albums. For instance, Jin recently released his second solo album, “Echo,” and is set to embark on a solo tour. During a May 21 appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” he expressed excitement about reuniting with his bandmates, stating, “It was great to be alone. But when they come back, since they worked very hard, I’m going to honor them and give them great respect.”
Fans are particularly curious about what the future holds for BTS. Jin mentioned, “They are my lifesavers, so I need to show them my appreciation and take care of them.”
As BTS prepares for their comeback, Jin emphasized the growth he experienced through his solo albums, particularly in capturing his emotions in “Echo.” The singer defined his new song “Don’t Say You Love Me” as reflecting bittersweet feelings associated with love.
Jin’s upcoming tour, starting in South Korea on June 28 and culminating in Amsterdam on August 10, consists of two shows in each city, including stops in the U.S. at venues like Anaheim’s Honda Center and Dallas’ American Airlines Center.
While setting the stage for BTS’s reunion, excitement builds as the plans remain closely guarded, but fans are hopeful for new music and an electrifying comeback.
