Ubisoft Hints at New Rayman Game in Development

Milano, Italy – Ubisoft is reportedly developing a new experience in the Rayman franchise. Job listings from the company indicate they are seeking talent for what is described as a “prestigious AAA title for the Rayman brand.”
The listings from Ubisoft Milan are looking for a 3D gameplay animator and a senior game designer. The animator will create high-quality character animations that convey emotional depth, while the designer will work on pitching and prototyping core game systems.
It remains uncertain whether this forthcoming title will be a standalone game or a crossover project like Mario + Rabbids, which features elements from the Rayman universe. Polygon has reached out to Ubisoft for comment on these developments and will update as more information becomes available.
The animator’s role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless integration of animations into gameplay. The designer is tasked with maintaining design documentation and ensuring game mechanics are balanced.
Ubisoft Milan is known for its work on previous titles and crossover games. The last mainline Rayman title, Rayman Legends, was launched in 2013 and later re-released in 2017 as Rayman Legends Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch.
In response to inquiries, Ubisoft stated, “The project is still in its early stages, and we will share more details later.”
