INDIANAPOLIS — The Southeastern Conference (SEC) has once again shown its strength in college baseball by securing eight of the 16 regional sites for the NCAA baseball tournament, a feat that matches its record from last year. This announcement was made on Sunday, May 25, 2025, and the remaining 64-team field along with first-round matchups will be revealed Monday by the Division I Baseball Committee.

SEC teams hosting games include Arkansas (43-13), Auburn (38-18), Georgia (42-15), LSU (43-14), Mississippi (40-19), Tennessee (43-16), Texas (42-12), and Vanderbilt (42-16). They will welcome competitors to their facilities as the national tournament kicks off.

Other teams that earned hosting duties are three from the Atlantic Coast Conference: Clemson (44-16), Florida State (38-14), and North Carolina (42-12). Newcomers to the Big Ten, Oregon (42-14) and UCLA (42-16), along with Sun Belt teams Coastal Carolina (48-11) and Southern Mississippi (44-14), also secured hosting spots.

The tournament will feature a double-elimination format in each regional, with games starting Friday and Saturday. These regional competitions will run through June 2, followed by super regionals the following week. The eight hosts for these super regionals are set to be announced on June 3.

Florida State will be hosting a regional for the 37th time, the highest number for any school. This year’s tournament marks the third consecutive time that Arkansas and Clemson have hosted games. Georgia, North Carolina, Oregon State, and Tennessee also hosted regionals last year.

In total, 29 conferences will receive automatic berths, contributing to a 64-team field that includes 35 at-large selections. The College World Series is scheduled to commence on June 13 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.
