June Brings Vital Financial Support to Residents Across the U.S.

June 1, 2025, Anchorage, Alaska — Families in the U.S. are set to receive crucial financial support this month through various state and local programs. In Alaska, residents can expect the next Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) payment on June 18 for those whose applications were submitted by the deadline and marked as ‘Eligible-Not Paid’ by June 11. The payout this year is $1,702.
The PFD Division emphasizes the need for applicants to check their status on myPFD and to ensure their address is current. Residents are also advised against obtaining an out-of-state REAL ID as it could jeopardize their qualification for future dividends.
Meanwhile, in California, Sacramento County is launching the Families First Economic Stability Pilot (FFESP), which will begin on June 15. This program will provide $725 monthly for a year to 200 randomly selected families whose income does not exceed 200% of the federal poverty level. The goal is to enhance the economic and emotional stability of families with children aged 0-5.
Selected families will receive notifications by May 5 and must confirm participation by the specified date. They can opt to receive payments via a debit card from Usio or a SAFE Credit Union bank account. Importantly, funds received under this program will not affect eligibility for other benefits such as CalWORKs, Medi-Cal, or CalFresh.
The FFESP will also feature an evaluation component with analyses being conducted by MEF Associates to gauge the initiative’s impact on participants. The pilot is designed to provide direct financial support without immigration status affecting eligibility.
Overall, June 2025 is proving to be a pivotal month for many families seeking economic stability amid challenging times.
