Tokyo, Japan – Crunchyroll revealed the winners of the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards during a star-studded ceremony on May 25 at the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa. Highlights included ‘Solo Leveling‘ winning Anime of the Year and ‘Otonoke’ by Creepy Nuts taking home Best Anime Song.

The ceremony was hosted by voice actress Sally Amaki and entertainer Jon Kabira, marking their third year in this role. Celebrity presenters included Grammy-winning singer Kacey Musgraves, ‘Stranger Things’ stars Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo, and global music icon J Balvin.

Creepy Nuts thrilled the audience with a performance of ‘Bling-Bang-Bang-Born,’ the opening theme for ‘Mashle: Magic and Muscles.’ Rock band FLOW performed ‘DAYS’ in celebration of the 20th anniversary of ‘Eureka Seven,’ and LiSA, the most streamed Japanese artist on Spotify in 2020, performed multiple songs including the hit ‘gurenge’ from ‘Demon Slayer.’

Attack on Titan‘ received the inaugural Global Impact Award, which honors creators and works that have profoundly influenced culture and audiences worldwide. Yuichiro Hayashi from MAPPA accepted the award, representing the many talents that contributed to the series.

Crunchyroll President Rahul Purini remarked on the deep connections fans have with anime, stating, ‘These are not just series, films, or songs, but works of art that help define the identity of anime fans.’

This year, a record 51 million votes were cast by fans globally. The awards aim to celebrate the creative talents of the anime industry, with significant participation from fans in countries such as Brazil, Canada, and India.

The awards can be streamed as video-on-demand on Crunchyroll’s YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as on platforms like SONY PICTURES CORE.
