Fc Cincinnati D.c. United Pride Night

CINCINNATI, OhioFC Cincinnati will celebrate Pride Night this Saturday, May 31, as they face off against D.C. United at TQL Stadium. The match is presented by Procter & Gamble and will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET, with gates opening at 6 p.m.

This Pride Night aims to honor and support the LGBTQIA+ community, with special presentations and festivities highlighting love and inclusion. Fans are encouraged to join the pre-match celebration at Washington Park from 4 to 6:30 p.m., featuring food trucks, live music from DJ Mister Fantastic, and activities for all ages.

In a show of solidarity, The Bailey, a fan section known for its vibrant atmosphere, will lead a march from Washington Park to TQL Stadium at 6:30 p.m. This event will feature smoke, drums, and chants, creating a lively pre-match experience.

FC Cincinnati, looking to bounce back from a midweek draw, will also strive for a win after previously defeating D.C. United 1-0 earlier this season. Head Coach Pat Noonan emphasized the importance of correcting second-half mistakes and approaching the game with determination.

D.C. United arrives with questions regarding player availability, especially concerning star forward Christian Benteke, who is recovering from an ankle injury. If unable to play, it may alter the strategy FC Cincinnati employs against them.

Throughout the match, fans can engage in activities celebrating Pride, including a station to write letters of encouragement to LGBTQIA+ youth and purchasing special Pride merchandise at the team store.

FC Cincinnati’s commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community extends beyond this match, as they plan to participate in various Pride events in the region throughout June. ‘Pride is more than a night, it’s a celebration of the community,’ said the team’s representatives.
