Jeopardy! Tournament Nears Finale with Schedule Changes

LOS ANGELES, CA — The third season of the popular quiz show “Jeopardy!” is approaching its grand finale with exciting developments for its dedicated fans.
This year’s tournament features nine contestants, a larger pool than usual. As the semifinals progress, four players remain in contention for the grand prize of $500,000. The tournament’s unique format, which awards match points instead of the traditional format, has added an interesting twist to the competition.
During the tournament, winning a game earns 3 points, while second place nets 1 point. Contestants who finish third do not receive any points. Match points reset at the beginning of each round, and rankings are determined based on performance in the semifinals.
The semifinal stage consists of two episodes showcasing four games. After these matches, one player will be eliminated, leaving three for the finale. The grand finale is set to air immediately after the last semifinal game.
Viewers looking forward to the finals should note a significant schedule change. The final two semifinal games, originally scheduled for Tuesday, June 3, will now air Wednesday, June 4, at 7 p.m. MDT on ABC.
A rerun of the first two games of the semifinals will still air as planned on June 3 before the exciting finale, which will start at 8 p.m. MDT on June 4.
Fans continue to eagerly follow the competition and await the outcome of this thrilling season of “Jeopardy!”
