Meghan Markle And Lilibet

LOS ANGELES, CA — Meghan Markle has expressed her hopes of starting a business with her daughter, Princess Lilibet, who turns four on June 4. During a recent episode of her podcast, “Confessions of a Female Founder,” Meghan interviewed Tina Knowles, mother of pop icon Beyoncé, seeking advice on collaborating with children.

Meghan shared her aspiration, stating, “I wonder if one day I’ll be in business with Lili and we’ll be building something.” She asked Knowles about her experience working on the hair care line, Cécred, with Beyoncé, and how to navigate a mother-daughter business relationship.

Knowles responded thoughtfully, explaining the complications that can arise, saying, “There are difficulties… You have disagreements, and you have to — I’m the one to always cave.” She emphasized the importance of maintaining a close bond with her children despite challenges.

Meghan’s interest in business ventures follows the launch of her lifestyle brand, As Ever, in April 2025, which quickly sold out its first batch of products. In the podcast, she mentioned, “We planned for a year, and then everything sells out in 45 minutes — which is great news.”

The Duchess also spoke about her children’s privacy, noting that no official portraits of Lilibet’s face have been shared since her first birthday. Meghan and Prince Harry have been protective of their children’s image while balancing their public lives.

Throughout the conversation, Knowles highlighted the importance of respecting her daughter’s business decisions. “It’s her business, so she gets the win,” Knowles said, reflecting on their collaboration.

Meghan also touched on her experiences with product demand, saying, “Just pause. That happened. Let’s wait until we are completely stable and we have everything we need.” The podcast episode concludes with a sense of excitement about both women’s entrepreneurial journeys. Meghan indicated the conversation had offered her insights she will use in her own pursuits.
