Matt Rife’s Rise: Comedian Set for Major Amphitheater Debut

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Comedian and actor Matt Rife is gearing up for his first performance at the new Coca-Cola Amphitheater on June 22. Rife, who has made a name for himself through stand-up comedy and roles in various films and television shows, is part of the amphitheater’s inaugural season.
Rife’s popularity has surged in recent years, and many are curious about his financial success. In 2025, his net worth is estimated at $40 million, primarily from his comedy specials like “Only Fans” and “Matthew Steven Rife.” His 2024 tour grossed an impressive $60 million, selling 733,000 tickets across 256 shows.
In addition to stand-up, Rife has appeared in NBC’s “Bring the Funny” and guest-starred in the hit show “Mo“. Recently, he took on a significant role in the sci-fi film “Trapped Inn,” portraying Connor, a character involved in a gripping mystery surrounding the deaths of his fellow cycling team members.
Live Nation, which manages the Coca-Cola Amphitheater, has high expectations for the venue. Jay Wilson, Live Nation’s project manager, shared his vision for the amphitheater, which includes innovative culinary options for patrons. “It’s going to be a notch above to where people are going to be, like, wow. That’s not your normal fair food,” Wilson said.
The new 9,300-seat venue will host nearly 30 performances during its inaugural season, starting with Rife’s show. Wilson noted that the venue is designed for convenience, with ample parking nearby. The mix of genres and acts promises to attract diverse audiences.
As the amphitheater prepares for opening day, excitement is building around Rife’s upcoming performance and the experiences the venue will offer.
